THE AIM AND PURPOSE
To provide learners, especially those from disadvantaged communities, who display potential in Mathematics, Science and Information Technology, with high quality education for successful tertiary education.
We offer: 25-30 learners per class Hostel accommodation for 300 learners Transport to and from the railway station for day learners. The Young Falcons: 2 year aviation programme run by the South African Air Force. Students train on simulators that prepare them for solo flying. AVIATION SCHOOL PROGRAMME A quality 3 year Aviation programme run by Aero Sport. This Private Pilot License (PPL) is an accredited course at the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) of SA. Scholarships are arranged via different universities and agencies Community Outreach programmes via the Rotary Club and Lions International Experienced and specialised educators (most educators have experience as markers or chief markers in NSC examinations) ICT integration in teaching: Master Maths, Crocodile Software, Mindset, Mobile Maths, etc Participation in Expos, Olympiads and numerous other competitions International partnerships offer learnersthe opportunity to be involved in exchange programmes and to interact with their counterparts in other countries The Confucius Classroom is the first of its kind to be offered to a state school. Mandarin is offered as a subject and affords learners the opportunity to further their studies in China. Learners who excel are afforded the opportunity to participate in the United States Student Achievers Program [USAP], for US university admission Extra-curricular activities – Leo Club, Debating Club, Argus Quiz, Science & Environmental club, Sport, etc. NEWS ARCHIVE
